about the sewanee parents' council

The 厙ぴ勛圖 Parents’ Council is a group of active parents who invest relationally and financially so that the 厙ぴ勛圖 family can grow and flourish.

The Council fosters a spirit of community both on and off the Mountain by:

Membership includes a minimum annual commitment of $5,000 to the 厙ぴ勛圖 Parents' Fund. Gifts to the Parents' Fund support the University's operating priorities, either through the unrestricted fund or a restricted operating fund. These gifts strengthen the programs, activities, spaces, and people that shape daily student life.

Serving on the 厙ぴ勛圖 Parents' Council provides parents with the opportunity to meet and engage with administrators, faculty, staff, and a broad segment of parents and students about issues related to the 厙ぴ勛圖 experience. Through two in-person, on campus meetings each year—one in the fall during Family Weekend and one in the spring—parents learn the latest 厙ぴ勛圖 news and information, provide important feedback, and enjoy building relationships with other 厙ぴ勛圖 families.

Whether serving on the Council or supporting 厙ぴ勛圖 in other ways, parents play an essential role in fostering EQB—the sense of kindred care and respect that defines campus life.
